Graduate Medical Education
The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is the sponsoring institution of 15 residency and 12 fellowship training programs approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education as well as four additional non-accredited fellowships. The Peoria campus, one of three campuses that comprise the University of Illinois College of Medicine, has 300-plus residents and fellows enrolled.

With our teaching affiliate partners, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Carle Health – Methodist Hospital, the College of Medicine has access to more than 900 patient beds, a Level 1 Trauma Center and the only full-service tertiary hospital for kids in downstate Illinois. Both serve a metropolitan residential population of over 375,000 but draw patients from a population base of more than one million people.
